Exceptional service, delicious food and a nice atmosphere. After 3 years, I'm glad I came back!
We visited this location this morning (!:44 am), when it was nice and empty. Our server, Shanell, was super awesome. As far as servers go, she's one of the best I have had anywhere. Attentive, friendly and very polite, she's awesome at anticipating your needs and bringing refills and such before you even ask!
I hadn't been to IHOP in a few years since the last time I had gone (ironically, to this location) the food was sub-par and the prices had gotten higher, but I wanted to down copious amounts of coffee and didn't feel like the tiny-ness of Waffle House, Festus, so away to the Bluffs we went. And I'm really glad we did!
They now have chicken fried chicken, which--though not listed as such--you can have for breakfast, too! I ordered that. When it arrived I thought it may be overcooked, but appearances can be deceiving. I tried it first and it was tender, perfectly cooked and the seasoning! Three years ago the food tasted like it was going the way of Banquet cuisine and now it tastes fresh and delicious! I don't know what they did to that chicken fried chicken, but it was freaking amazing!
My husband got the steak tip breakfast and he said it was perfectly cooked, flavorful and delicious--and very tender!
You expect to pay a bit more at IHOP, so I'm not bothered by the price. When the cook made a mistake on one of the pancake orders, Shanell not only noticed right away, but she also gave us the correct order on TOP of the accidental order AND an unnecessarily nice discount for the trouble (which we gave back in her tip since she's awesome).
The establishment was clean and nice and it was just a really good time all around. This time around, it was totally worth the drive from Hillsboro just to eat. This location and the location in Salem, OR, really are awesome. Now if only they'd bring the chocolate cake back to the menu, I could get on board with desserts, too. -

Probably the Worst IHOP we have been to!! We told our server that it was our first time at this IHOP we needed a few minutes to look at menu.
Thirty minutes later our server comes by and tells us that the cook messed up our order that's what was taking so long. Not apologizing but telling us the cook said our food would be up in a minute.( Kinda like saying the check is in the mail... whatever)
Finally after getting our food. Our server did not ask if we needed anything, Enjoy your food... nothing.
Yes... I could of used some jelly, some ice... I did finally get my jelly. Had to wait on our check.
The Cashier and the Manager didn't ask us how everything was. No apologies... I would not recommend this location. There are way too many other choices out there! -

This was most definitely the worst ihop I have ever been to. As soon as we walked into the door we were asked how many and as soon as we said two, the servers gave us a smirky look and whispered something about us under their breath. And then we ended up being sat at a six top table when there were booths all around us empty. Just an overall uncomfortable environment to be in and also felt very judged.

This IHOP has gone down in recent years. I remember coming when I was younger and being greeted by friendly service. When I walked in today, no one greeted us and only said the number 2. They then proceeded to mutter something under their breath to their coworker about me and my party. Then the hostess refused to seat us and instead passed it off to another girl doing another job. We waited for about 10 minutes before the server came by and at that point we were contemplating leaving. She said she'd be right with us. They had seated us at a 6 top table for only two people. They then came back and got us waters. As they were getting the water the back of house workers got into a verbal argument about how coffee is supposed to be brewed. And at that point we got up and left because the restaurant was taking forever. Was not friendly to us and definitely didn't work hard enough for us to spend our money there. Bad service.

Sitting waiting on a table, and have listened to a very rude employee yell at the kitchen and at the servers. Apparently she's a manager? Wow! I'm actually embarrassed for her right now! Hopefully our dining experience is better than our wait thus far! April 12, 2019 at 11 a.m.
